There are three membership levels in our Self-Defense program: White Belt, Red Belt and Black Belt.
White Belt is for the individual. Red Belt is for a pair. This can be friends, a couple, or a parent and a child.
The Black Belt level is for a group of three or four people. It is ideal for families of three or four people, or for a group of friends. Please contact us for groups of five or more people. Register Now
EVERY Self-Defense program (White Belt, Red Belt and Black Belt) includes:
- Self-Defense Techniques and drills
- Fitness regimen. We believe that being fit and strong places us in the most optimal state possible to effectively defend ourselves. It is hard to outlast an attacker when you are out of breath.
- Coaching. We coach you with indispensable success principles that will transform you spiritually and mentally. As humans, are only as powerful as we are inside, in the inner man. Our program is holistic, comprising training for the mind/spirit and the body. This is not your grandmother’s Self-Defense!
The ABCs of Self-Defense
The very first thing to remember about self-defense is the word “self”. Everything you do must be calculated to protect yourself and to be safe. Use all your knowledge, technique, training, strength, intelligence and common sense to help you achieve that very important goal.
The second thing to remember is the word “defense”. This means that you only take action to defend yourself or a loved one. Don’t pick a fight just because you assess yourself to be stronger or more skilled than your opponent.
Third, always try to get away. Run! Don’t be ashamed to Run! Get away if you can, if that will prevent a fight. Always try to diffuse the situation, to avoid getting into combat with anyone. If all else fails? If you can’t get away?
Then stand your ground and defend yourself wholeheartedly, vigorously and effectively. Try to disable your attacker and then get away. If you can help it, don’t engage in any lengthy combat with anyone.
Very important: the goal is not to fatally hurt anyone. NEVER!
Begin by ascertaining the situation. Do you feel threatened? Why? Immediately begin planning your escape route.
We emphasize the appropriate mindset necessary for a successful self-defense encounter: Calm, Confidence, Control, no panic or fear, self-assertiveness, strength and domination.
Our self-defense program makes extensive use of many techniques from the main Martial Arts forms: Taekwondo, Karate, Kung-Fu, Brazilian Jujitsu, Boxing, and MMA. Register Now
